MCU Annual Meeting
MILLBURY– At the 91st annual meeting of the Millbury Federal Credit Union (MCU), Chairman of the Board, E. Bernard Plante brought the meeting to order. Chairman Plante introduced President and chief executive officer Joseph F. Barbato. President Barbato reviewed with the membership the economic challenges and successes of 2025. President Barbato noted that assets were $475 million; net income was $1.8 million and net worth ratio is 9.44%.
Chairman Plante presented the following directors for re-election to a 3-year term on the Board: Joel Kent of Worcester, Brook Padgett of Grafton and Barry Thunberg of Auburn. Chairman Plante also presented Christopher Naff of Millbury as a newly elected member of the MCU Board of Directors.
President Barbato recognized two MCU employees that each have worked at MCU for 25-years: Michelle Katz and Amy Orsi. Mr. Barbato presented a commemorative MCU chair to Michelle Katz in honor of this achievement. Mrs. Orsi will receive her chair in the Spring. In addition, President Barbato made a special recognition to Elaine Dupuis, who marked 40-years with MCU in 2025. A private reception was held last Fall in honor of this achievement.
Founded in 1934 by just 20 individuals, MCU today serves more than 30,000 members, with assets of more than $475 million through offices in Millbury, Worcester, Auburn and South Grafton and is itself a member of the National Credit Union Administration.
Christopher Naff elected to the MCU Board of Directors
MILLBURY —Millbury Federal Credit Union (MCU) is pleased to announce the election of Christopher Naff to the MCU Board of Directors.
President Barbato stated that Mr. Naff’s extensive experience in various community and real estate services positions throughout his career will be an invaluable asset to MCU.
Mr. Naff is currently employed at Kelleher & Sadowsky as an Associate and has been involved in the real estate and finance business for many years.
Mr. Naff is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Accounting. Mr. Naff currently resides in Millbury.
